'Postgraduate Essentials' is an interactive on-line orientation course for new doctoral researchers.

You can network with other students whilst gaining the practical information and skills necessary to make the best possible start to your PhD. 

The course is made up of 6 time released modules and a variety of discussion forums. The 6 modules are live for 2 weeks each, covering the following topics: 

    1. Starting your PhD
    2. Getting Organised  
    3. Working with your Supervisor
    4. Searching the Literature
    5. Writing a Literature Review
    6. Research Data Management

This course relates to domains A1, B2, and C2 of the Researcher Development Framework.
