This is one of two optional work-based learning modules, available to students studying MSc Education Studies, to encourage the application of learning and teaching theories into practice.
Through on campus learning and in their online discussion within a digital community, students will develop an understanding of the practical and pedagogical challenges of effective interactions, questioning skills, pupil engagement and assessment strategies.Students will consider the various components that contribute to effective learning and teaching and have a go themselves at building skills in these areas. Through practical sessions, students will have the opportunity to plan, deliver, assess and evaluate micro-tecahing sessions incorporating components of effective pedagogy explored through reading, on- campus input and reflection.
