Your time to shine as a physicist: lead a project and create new knowledge about a research area.

This module builds on the previous four years of physics study so that you can plan, manage and drive your own physics project within one of our research groups. Supported by an academic supervisor, you will critically analyse the field and scope out a project that can be completed in a single semester. You will develop technical and digital expertise as you set up and improve models or equipment to take and critically analyse data and show awareness of the field by placing the interpretation of your results in the context of other’s work.

Alongside this you will develop flexibility, resilience and resourcefulness as you navigate unexpected hurdles, become an effective communicator, able to collaborate in a technical group and defend your methods and interpretations in rehearsed and unrehearsed situations.
